We watched their votes. So you can watch your wallet at the ballot box.
Phoenix prices are up 31% since 2020. Who enabled it?

Your grocery bill isn't just a Washington story.
Local electeds can hit your wallet as hard as D.C. Your state lawmakers and governor vote every year to make life cheaper, or more expensive. Almost nobody scores them on it. We did. 397 times.

AZ Wallet Watch counted 2023–2026 floor votes when the bill clearly cut costs, raised them, grew opportunity, or stopped waste. We read the bill, scored the whole bill vehicle, and gave one point for the right vote.

How We Scored the Bills:

We covered Arizona floor votes from 2023 to 2026. We focused on bills that cut costs, raise them, grow opportunity, or stop waste. Growing government for a handout is Raises Costs, because eventually it harms everyone.

We read the final bill and scored the whole vehicle.

How Electeds Earned Points:

One point for the right vote:

  • Yes on Cuts Costs, Get Ahead, and Stops Waste

  • No on Raises Costs

  • Floor-failed and vetoed still count.

  • A score of 80% or more = "Fights High Costs" shield

  • A score below 80% = "Enables High Costs"

The governor is scored on sign or veto only.

Not Voting (NV) is excused only if legislators were excused that day, or they cast no other Yea or Nay that day. If they voted on other bills that day, Not Voting counts against them.
